55 Schilling
Client Overview
Purchased from technology giant Northrop Grumman, MacKenzie transformed a vacant and outdated 30 acres warehouse industrial park into a thriving business location. Systematically developed over a five year period, 55 Schilling represents the last parcel within Schilling Place to be redeveloped. Originally a truck lot for surrounding manufacturing tenants, the lot was underutilized and, most importantly, an eye-sore for the now thriving Hunt Valley community.
Approach and Results
Implementing MacKenzie's full platform of services, MacKenzie Development Company joint ventured with local firm Kinsley Construction to design and build the 54,000 square foot Class A building. Featuring the latest "green" amenities, the two-story brick building would offer the largest open floorplates within Hunt Valley when it delivered at the height of the recession. Tasked with finding a user for the vacant building, MacKenzie's brokerage team would later lease the building in its entirety international firm Ebay.
