Caitlin Borland and Paula Gunter Form Aria Wealth Partners and Establish Headquarters at 505 Faulconer Drive in Charlottesville, VA

Co-Founders and Managing Partners of personal wealth management firm bring a combined 47 years of diversified experience to the company

Caitlin Borland and Paula Gunter have formed personal wealth management firm Aria Wealth Partners, and recently established headquarters at 505 Faulconer Drive in downtown Charlottesville. The Co-Founders and Managing Partners bring a combined 47 years of diversified experience in crafting comprehensive, long-term financial strategies for clients. Sam Orr of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services represented the owner and Josi Williams of Cushman Thalhimer represented Aria Wealth Partners.

Aria Wealth Partners provides financial life management support including investment management, financial and retirement planning, charitable giving, legacy and estate planning guidance, and cash flow and debt  management. The group partners with Charles Schwab, which is considered among the largest and most reliable names in the wealth management industry.

Gunter has worked as a financial advisor since 2002 and holds certifications as a Chartered Retirement Planning Specialist and Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional. Borland spent more than 10 years at J.P. Morgan in New York City where she advised hedge fund clients on a range of equity, credit, and synthetic strategies.

“Listening to the needs of our clients and paying meticulous attention to the smallest details is what separates us from our peer group,” explained Gunter. “We worked extremely hard at respecting the opinion and beliefs of our clients and then devising and executing strategies tailored to their individual situation. We also have a fiduciary responsibility to place the interests of our clients first.”

Borland adds that people are never too young or too old to seek the advice of an experienced wealth management professional and has provided guidance to those in their teens and, recently, a woman aged 99. “We don’t recommend the same financial vehicle for everyone, nor do we have a set plan when establishing a new relationship. We factor in a wide variety of variables including the specific goals of the individual, their risk tolerance, and their short- and long-term financial goals.”

The professionals decided to embark on a new venture together because they detected a void in the greater Charlottesville area for wealth management services, and believed a highly-personalize approach would resonate in the community. “Aria Wealth Partners clients deal directly with the firm’s principals, which assures the most successful outcomes,” Gunter added. “We have seen how clients can get lost in a bigger sea when working with larger wealth management firms, which is unfortunate. Our boutique approach prevents that from happenning, while also maintaining a high-touch interaction.”

“505 Faulconer Drive provides a true advantage to Aria Wealth Partners,” explained MacKenzie’s Orr. “The exterior of the building provides a highly-professional and upscale image, which is in keeping with the overarching philosophy of the firm. The  location on the west side of town is convenient for Aria’s clients, and close to Route 29 and many long-standing businesses, which should provide opportunities to the group.”
