Business and personal insurance company Travelers Insurance has signed a lease with North Park Ventures, LLC for 65,214 square feet of space and plans to relocate its Hunt Valley-area offices to 10 North Park in Hunt Valley, Maryland this fall. The group is moving from 111 Schilling Road into the four-story, 82,300 square foot building, and increasing occupancy of the building to 100 percent. Joe Bradley, Senior Vice President, and Principal for MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services the landlord and Doug Brinkley and Charlie Fenwick of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in this transaction.

Part of The Travelers Companies, Inc., Travelers Insurance provides a comprehensive range of property casualty insurance for auto, home and business and has more than 30,000 employees in the United States and throughout the world. The Hunt Valley regional office services personal and business customers throughout the greater Baltimore metropolitan region.

10 North Park is part of a five-building office complex situated within the heart of the Hunt Valley business community. Positioned adjacent to Interstate 83 and located approximately five minutes from Towson and 20 minutes from downtown Baltimore City, nearby amenities include Hunt Valley Towne Centre, anchored by Wegmans Food Market, several hotels and multiple sit-down and fast-casual restaurants. The Hunt Valley Light Rail station is also located within walking distance.

“It was extremely important for Travelers Insurance to remain in the Hunt Valley area to retain consistency for its employees and customers and, fortunately, a perfect real estate solution existed just around the corner,” explained Joe Bradley of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services. “The company was also attracted to the campus-like setting of the business community, the common area conference amenity in the building and the fitness center that will be incorporated soon.

“Hunt Valley benefits the company in numerous ways including having immediate access to business and personal amenities, as well as a strategic location near a major interstate. Baltimore, Towson, and portions of Pennsylvania are within easy reach. This lease also demonstrates the continuing flight-to-quality trend, in which companies are attracted to amenity-rich buildings which are best suited to recruit and train employees, as well as improve productivity, he added.”
