MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC is pleased to announce the sale of 44 South Street in downtown Baltimore. Better known as Uncle Lee’s Restaurant, situated at the corner of South and Lombard Streets, the property was owned and operated by the Lee family and recognized by patrons as a premier Chinese restaurant since 1982. Built in 1905, the 5,900 square foot building was originally home to Farmers & Merchants National Bank. After years of success, the owners have decided to retire. MacKenzie Vice President Jim Grieves represented the seller in the transaction.
The building was purchased by Zhuang Hong Lin for $1.1 million. New ownership has opened the Crafty Crab Restaurant from this location. Offering visitors Southern charm and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, Crafty Crab offers the freshest seafood and most authentic New Orleans style recipes in the area. With a growing list of locations that includes Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina and Texas, this will be Maryland’s fifth Crafty Crab location. The restaurant is now open for carryout only.
