MacKenzie Brokers Sale of the Milton Inn
MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC is pleased to announce the recent sale of the historic Milton Inn, one of Baltimore County’s oldest and finest restaurants. The building and real estate was purchased by Baltimore restaurant group Foreman Wolf. Founded by Tony Foreman and chef Cindy Wolf, this is the group’s first location in Baltimore County. MacKenzie Senior Vice President/Principal John Harrington brokered the sale of the property.
The 18th century fieldstone building at 14833 York Road sits on a nearly four-acre property in Sparks, Maryland. Original construction began in 1740 and was added to and altered over the years. For the first one hundred years the Inn served as a place of repast for travelers. In 1863, the building served as The Milton Academy and in 1946, was sold to Ivan Dreschler who started a restaurant called The Milton Inn. The Inn became known for exceptional food served in an authentic colonial atmosphere. In the Spring of 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Atillio Allori purchased The Milton Inn and managed the restaurant until 1986 when it was purchased by its most recent owners. The old-world charm and ambiance remained over the years.
“The Milton Inn has been an institution in the local dining scene for more than 70 years,” stated Harrington. “Under the leadership of the Foreman Wolf group, I have no doubt the reputation and charm of the Milton Inn will continue for generations to come. I don’t think we could have found a more distinguished restauranteur to carry on the tradition of this iconic venue.”
The restaurant is set to open this spring.
