Kevin Carney Joins MacKenzie as President of Multifamily Division
The MacKenzie Companies are pleased to announce that Kevin Carney has joined their firm and will act as President of MacKenzie Multifamily Management, LLC. In this role, Kevin will work to expand the firm’s footprint in the Baltimore-Washington region with regards to the management, development, and construction of multifamily projects. This recent appointment has been recognized in response to the expansion of services by the firm’s property management and development division. Kevin will work out of the firm’s headquarter location in Lutherville, Maryland.

Prior to joining MacKenzie, Kevin worked for Thomas Builders and launched Thomas Builders Management Services at which time he partnered with MacKenzie as managing member to serve apartment and property managers more successfully. Kevin brings more than 30 years’ experience in developing, building, and managing single family and multi-family housing to the MacKenzie team. He has developed more than 900 lots for builders, built more than 800 single family homes, and 1,400 apartment units throughout Maryland including St. Mary’s, Harford, Howard, Anne Arundel, Calvert, and Baltimore Counties. His background includes extensive expertise in the HUD process, having successfully navigated their requirements and ensuring projects were approved as efficiently as possible. This knowledge, coupled with familiarity with FHA loan requirements, has allowed him the ability to develop six successful HUD multi-family communities. Kevin’s experience also includes brokerage, banking, acquisition and development of land, and a law background.
