MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC is pleased to announce the recent sale of 7400 Buttercup Road, a 15,000  square foot industrial building situated on a 12-acre parcel in Sykesville, Carroll County, Maryland. MacKenzie Vice President Dennis Boyle represented the Seller in the transaction. The property presented development opportunities which attracted the purchaser N.E.A.R. Communications, a telecommunications company that buys and sells technology items, that is relocating from Columbia, Maryland. The new owner’s plans include utilizing the existing building and constructing a larger industrial structure on the property to accommodate the company’s growth plans.

“The property is situated in the southern portion of Carroll County, just outside of Howard, an area that presents few industrial availabilities; it was perfect timing for the new owner,” stated Boyle. “We continue to see steady interest in Carroll County; the area is benefiting from zoning updates and changing development standards in neighboring counties.”
