Brian Thomas

Brian Thomas has joined MacKenzie Real Estate Services as a Commercial Real Estate Advisor, bringing his dynamic leadership and strategic acumen to the firm’s Charlottesville, Virginia, regional office. Under the direction of Executive Vice President Sam Orr, Brian will focus on representing the interests of tenants, developers, landlords, and institutional owners in the sale and leasing of various asset classes, including commercial office, warehouse/industrial, and retail properties, primarily in the central Virginia region.

Prior to joining MacKenzie, Brian was the head coach for The George Washington University’s Division I men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams. His experience as a collegiate coach honed his skills in leadership, communication, and team building, which are directly transferable to his new role in commercial real estate. He is known for his enthusiasm, passion, integrity, and commitment to providing excellent service — qualities that have been fundamental to his success.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut. His background in coaching at the highest level has provided him with a strong work ethic, accountability, and the ability to build relationships — all of which are essential traits for a successful career in commercial brokerage.
