Corey Caputo Joins MCRES With Emphasis on The Sale and Leasing of Retail Assets

Commercial real estate professional brings 10 years of business and brokerage experience to firm 

Corey Caputo has joined MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, the brokerage division of The MacKenzie Companies, a commercial real estate company which operates five full-service divisions addressing all real estate asset classes, as Senior Real Estate Advisor. Formerly Retail Leasing Manager with CANA Development, he will be working from MacKenzie’s corporate offices in Lutherville, Maryland.

Caputo will represent the interests of developers, landlords, and institutional owners in the sale and leasing of retail shopping centers and mixed-use properties throughout the greater Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia region. Caputo will also act as a tenant representative to organizations and companies in need of guidance and leadership to satisfy their specific real estate requirements. He will collaborate with the entire retail leasing team including engaging with MacKenzie’s Senior Vice President and Principal Henry Deford and Vice President Tim Harrington, who are were recently named the exclusive leasing brokers for the next phase of retail leasing at Harbor Point.

While working with CANA Development, Caputo oversaw leasing for five food halls across four states, maintained 95 percent cumulative occupancy and generated more than $11 million worth of leasing transactions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Rhetoric Studies from Hofstra University while playing on the school’s Division I lacrosse team.
