Veritas HHS Consolidating Several Sites Throughout Baltimore City into New 9,183 Square Foot Space within Village Center at Stadium Place
MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services brokers lease for Denver, Colorado-based group which provides child support services to the Maryland Department of Human Services
Veritas HHS, a company which provides child support services through its contract with the Maryland Department of Human Services, has revealed plans to consolidate several Baltimore City sites into one central location at Village Center at Stadium Place. The Denver, Colorado-based group signed a lease with Commercial Development Group for 9,183 square feet of space and expects to relocate approximately 40 employees to the four-story building, located at 1100 W. 33rd Street, in Q1 2025. Matthew Mueller and Mike Ruocco, Senior Vice Presidents and Principals for MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC represented the landlord in this transaction.
Since 2018, Veritas HHS has provided a full range of child support services to Baltimore City, including establishing paternity and support orders, enforcing and modifying those orders, and providing employment services to non-custodial parents. This is the second-largest single-site full services child support contract in the United States for the group which currently operates in four states.
Village Center at Stadium Place is part of the master-planned Stadium Place Campus situated on the grounds of the former Memorial Stadium complex. The Class “A” building contains commercial office, medical office and retail space, with tenants including MedStar Health, Sage Health, Dunkin’, and approximately 90 age-restricted multifamily residential units.
“The most pressing objective was to find a high-profile office building that would enable Veritas HHS to accommodate all of its Baltimore-area employees in one central location, in order to improve operational efficiencies and internal communication,” explained MacKenzie’s Matt Mueller. “The landlord’s willingness to provide a complete tenant buildout from the building’s shell condition was a significant factor in this real estate decision. Veritas HHS chose an asset leased by other like-minded health professionals and is moving to a professional environment with both in-place and nearby amenities. Village Center at Stadium Place provides Veritas HHS with a long-term real estate solution, and its upscale tenant buildout will serve as a tool to help attract and retain employee talent.”
Nearly 125,000 people reside within a two-mile radius of the site, including more than 50,000 households, and an additional 120,000 employees work within a two-mile radius. Village Center at Stadium Place is less than four miles from Baltimore’s central business district and within proximity to Interstates 83, 95 and 895.
